Motorist clocked at over 122mph
A motorist was caught driving at over 120mph in a 60mph zone during a crackdown on speeding motorists.
The 35-year-old was stopped during the final hours of a Central Scotland Police operation which netted 750 speeding drivers.
The incident was described as "simply horrendous" by the force.
The man was stopped on the Laurieston bypass, near Falkirk, at about 2240 BST on Saturday.
Chief Inspector Donald McMillan said: "To travel at more than twice the speed limit on that particular stretch of road near Falkirk is simply horrendous.
"We will continue to actively and rigorously pursue those motorists who flout the law in this way."
The Summer Safe Drive campaign, which began in July, also resulted in 130 people being detected in relation to drink driving.
This compared to 148 for the same period last year.
The initiative also saw 812 people being reported for seatbelt offences and 413 for mobile phone offences.
